About AVSO: Janet Lash, President/CEO
Janet Lash loves designing and producing events of all types and sizes. In her role as President/CEO of AVSO, she’s had the opportunity to do this, over and over again – and she does so with panache, excitement, and vitality. In short – nothing fazes her!
With over a decade of experience as an Event Planner, Janet brings an air of style, calmness, and assuredness to every event she takes on. Her ability to connect personally with her clients is reflected in the flawless events she plans, and her customized, one-on-one service has allowed her to fully develop the vision and ideas her clients have.
Janet acquired and developed her skills by managing corporate dining accounts that generated over one million dollars annually. In addition, she has consulted for the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce, where she planned many of their events, including the annual Palo Alto Festival of the Arts, Women in Business Conference, Athena, Tall Tree awards, and the first Palo Alto Golf Tournament.
She’s also served on the Silicon Valley Women in Business board, where she coordinated monthly events featuring well-known and exciting speakers, such as noted author Deborah Santana. Janet also feels a strong desire to give back to her community. This desire has motivated her to partner with local and international non-profit groups, including the Girls Club of the Mid-Peninsula and Village Enterprises, where she served on the Advisory Board.
Janet’s passion is creating the perfect events for her clients. With her dynamic background, her commitment to her clients, along with her ability to turn visions into reality, her role as President/CEO of AVSO is a perfect fit.
